When I was teenager I started searching for a deeper meaning and goal for my life. Who am I? Why am I here on Earth? What is the meaning of living on this planet that is flying through space at a speed of around 26km/second?
I have met many people that have shared with me their life wisdom and knowledge. Those that have had the most influence on me are Imre Kerner and Hyemeyhosts Storm (Wolf). Imre by giving me a stronger sensitivity to everything around me and Wolf by encouraging me to start asking questions about who I am and giving me tools with which to explore my Self.
I met Wolf and his partner in life, Swan, in England in 1998 when they had a seminar to teach about the Medicine Wheels. Before I got there I had read the books that Wolf had written and in my mind I expected to meet a man that was totally different from everyone else. On the surface he looked relatively ordinary. Tall, large and well dressed. It was when he talked that I understood that this was not an ordinary person.
I remember specifically one thing that was said: "Test everything that we tell you. Don't just accept it. This is not a religion, but a philosophy. A Way to live by." It was one of the most important messages I have ever received. Most of the other Teachers that I have met (not Imre) wanted me to accept what they told me blindly. Swan and Wolf did not promise an answer to all my questions, but they said straight to my face that everything could be questioned.
Since then I have continued to work on my Self with the tools that Wolf and Swan presented for me on those seminars. Over these past years it has become more and more clear to me that I need to work on bringing this knowledge to the Nordic countries for those that are interested in learning more about their Selves.
This website, Jord Sirkel, was designed to be a place, a present day ship to carry us on a journey to discover who we are while we learn from and exploring the ancient teachings of the Medicine Wheels from North America and the wisdom of our homeland, Northern Europe.
Jord Sirkel as a name for the web site was chosen for many reasons. Translated to English it means Earth Wheel. One inspiration is from the opening words of Heimskringla, one of the old Norse Sagas: Kringla Heimsins, which means the round planet, Earths circle. We are all here on this planet together to learn and grow.
